RepairLink allows dealers to enter to set a sales tax rate for RepairLink orders and customize taxes for buyers. Once added, the tax rate will be applied to the total cart amount in RepairLink Shop and will be displayed to your buyers.
Taxes and fees may be added in two ways:
- To your Default Trading Partner. This will apply one tax rate to all buyers. (This can be used in locations where taxes are based on the seller's location.)
- To specific Trading Partners. This applies a tax rate to individual buyers and will override any default tax rate entered. (This can be used in locations where taxes are based on the buyer's location.)
Important:
- Tax laws vary by state and dealers are solely responsible for compliance with any and all applicable federal, state, and/or other local laws.
- Dealers will be responsible for paying all applicable state and local taxes imposed on the distribution/sales of any applicable products.
- Due to many variables, calculating sales tax can be challenging. While OEC does not assume responsibility for guidance on this topic, the following link may offer helpful insights: https://www.salestaxinstitute.com/resources
