Do I have to connect my PayPal account for each transaction in D2DLink when selling parts?
- In order to sell parts in D2DLink and collect payment, you must connect your PayPal business account in Application Setup. Once setup is complete, you will not be prompted to connect your account again during checkout.
Is the PayPal enhancement free to GM dealers or do I have to update my subscription?
- The PayPal integration is free of charge for all GM dealers--no subscription upgrades are needed.
What kind of PayPal account should I use in D2DLink to sell parts?
- In order to sell parts using PayPal in D2DLink, a business account must be used during setup.

- If you do not have a PayPal Business Account, please visit https://www.paypal.com/bizsignup/#/checkAccount to sign up for a business account before completing these steps.
Why are the last four digits of a Social Security Number (SSN) required to set up a PayPal business account?
- The last four digits of the primary authorized user's SSN is legally required via the Bank Secrecy Act of 1970 to successfully create a PayPal business account.
Why is nothing happening once I connect my account?
- Browser settings may disable pop-ups from displaying. If you entered your email address and password into PayPal and it appears nothing has changed in Application Setup, refresh your browser. Click Application Setup on the left, then Selling on Locator to return to the PayPal settings. You should see your account has been connected.
Can I temporarily disable PayPal orders?
- If you would like to temporarily stop accepting quotes with PayPal as the payment option, you can disable PayPal requests by unchecking the box under visibility settings. This is an easy way to disable PayPal temporarily without completely removing your account from D2DLink.
What is the benefit of inputting my Taxes and Fees in Application Setup?
- Tax laws vary by state and dealers are each solely responsible for compliance with any and all applicable federal, state, and/or other local laws and will be responsible for paying all applicable state and local taxes imposed on the distribution/sales of any applicable products.
- To ensure taxes and fees are included with all transactions, it is highly encouraged that this feature be utilized to guarantee taxes are included in all transactions and increase order processing efficiency.
I need help connecting my PayPal account. Is there any training?
- When logged into D2DLink within the Dealer Portal, you should see the OEC Learning Center on the bottom right hand of your window. When you click the arrow up and select Setup Tasks, you should see Setup PayPal Integration (NEW!) and Setup Quote Accepted Notifications (NEW!).

PayPal Orders
I searched for a part and would like to create a PayPal order. How do I know if the dealer will sell the part using PayPal?
- In the Locate Results table, you will see a field titled Accepts PayPal. If the locate results contain the PayPal logo in the corresponding dealer's row, they will accept PayPal orders. If there is no PayPal logo, PayPal is not currently accepted as a form of payment.
Do I have to connect my PayPal account if I would like to buy parts using PayPal?
- No, only selling dealers must connect their PayPal business account. Buying dealers can either log in during checkout or make a payment as a guest with a credit or debit card.
I would like to submit an order to a dealer but am unable to uncheck "Please provide a quote." What should I do?
- Dealers who have enabled PayPal can only accept orders by means of a quote. If you do not plan on completing the transaction using PayPal, you must request a quote with the appropriate payment method. The selling dealer must respond to your quote request. Once you accept the quote, a new order will generate, and the seller can confirm the order.
I received a request for a quote from the buyer and the payment method is not PayPal. They have contacted me and requested to pay with PayPal. How can I update the payment method?
- In order to update the payment method, the order must be cancelled and the quote resubmitted to the seller with PayPal as the payment method.
I received a quote from the Seller and need adjustments made. What should I do?
- Once the seller has provided a quote, it cannot be adjusted. Contact the seller, inform them of the adjustments needed, and let them know you will need to create a new order.
Once I have registered PayPal in D2DLink, am I able to add the PayPal logo to my Parts page?
- After completing the setup, your location will appear as a dealer who accepts PayPal in Part Locates, indicated using the PayPal icon. If you have an external parts site where you would like to promote your dealership with PayPal, you can find the PayPal logos here.

I am responding to a quote request in D2DLink for a PayPal order and I forgot to update my Taxes and Fees information in Application Setup. What should I do?
- When reviewing a quote request, the new Taxes and fees field is editable when responding to a quote. You can enter in the correct taxes and fees value in the text box located in the subtotal line.
I received a quote from the selling dealer and would like to pay using the PayPal integration. I do not have an account set up. Can I check out as a guest?
- Dealers can check out and pay with PayPal as a guest using a credit or debit card. When you select Pay with PayPal and the window populates requesting your login credentials, select Pay with Debit or Credit Card to check out as a guest.
I submitted a quote to the buyer and am awaiting their response. How will I know a quote has been accepted in D2DLink?
- The "Quote Accepted" notification type has been added in Application Setup > Notification Setup. Enabling this notification will ensure you are notified when quotes have been accepted in D2DLink by a buying dealer.
- If PayPal is the payment method selected for a particular transaction, this email serves as a notification that payment has been authorized. As a seller, you must log in to commit to the order to capture funds. Once you have committed to the sale, you must ship the part to the buying dealer.
- Note: Processing orders in PayPal may result in a slight delay from the time the buyer authorizes payment until you receive the "Quote Accepted" email.
I completed payment using PayPal and the selling dealer has not completed the order, confirming shipment. What should I do?
- The selling dealer should have been notified via email if they enabled notifications. If you have completed payment and have not heard back from the dealer, contact them directly to finalize the order. Otherwise, if you completed payment using your PayPal account, you can log in and cancel the order.
- Note: If the seller does not respond within 30 days of payment authorization, the order will be cancelled automatically.
