Setting Up Notifications for D2DLink

D2DLink provides a real-time notification--that displays in the upper right-hand corner of the window--when new dealer orders arrive. Users can hover their mouse over the notification to review a summary orders received and click one one to view its details.

In addition to real-time notifications, a user with an Administrator account can set up email notifications to be sent to specified recipients should one of the following events occur:

  • A parts purchase made by your dealership has been completed.
  • A parts purchase made by your dealership has been canceled before it was filled.
  • Your dealership has received an order in D2DLink.
  • A quote your dealership provided has been accepted by the buyer.
  • A dealership has add you as a distributor or changed stocking levels. (Distributors only) 

Select a notification setup topic below to view instructions on how to add or disable notifications:


To set up a notification:    

  1. From the D2DLink tab, click Application Setup.

  2. Click Notification Setup.

  3. If needed, use the Notification Language drop-down to change the language that the notification is sent in.

  4. Click the Notification Event that you want to setup. (Notifications that have been previously set up will be marked as Active.) You can receive notifications for the following:

    1. Purchases: Order Complete: A parts purchase made by your dealership has been completed.
    2. Purchases: Transactions Canceled: A parts purchase made by your dealership has been canceled before it was filled.
    3. Sales: All Pending Transactions: Your dealership has received a sales request through D2DLink.
    4. Sales: Quote Accepted: A quote your dealership provided has been accepted by the buyer.
    5. Dealer Target Stock Levels Edited: A dealer has made a change to one or more of their part stocking levels. (Distributors only) 
    6. New Dealer Assigned: A dealer has shared their stocking guide, allowing you to view the replenishment details and current inventory levels of assigned parts. (Distributors only) 
  5. Check the Active box.

  6. Type the Notification Emails that will receive the notifications. (If entering multiple email addresses, use a semi-colon [;] with no spaces between each address.)

  7. Select the Notification Days and Notification Hours range for receiving notifications. Notification Hours default to Eastern Time.

  8. Click Save.

  9. Your new notification has been created. Be on the lookout for emails from messenger@oeconnection.com letting you know to take action within OEC!

To disable a notification:

  1. From the D2DLink tab, click Application Setup.

  2. Click Notification Setup.

  3. Click the Notification Event that you want to disable. Notifications that have been previously set up will be marked as Active.

  4. Uncheck the Active box.

  5. Click Save.
  6. When complete, click the Back button at the top of the left-hand navigation menu to close.
