RepairLink Dealer: Hiding Parts Information from International/IC Bus Buyers

KB Article #6498

RepairLink allows buyers--including those that may be outside your delivery area--to find and add your dealership as a supplier. Once you add them as a trading partner in RepairLink, the buyer has the ability to access your inventory to search for parts.

International dealers can limit access to parts information for individual buyers or for all new shops that add your dealership as a supplier using settings within Trading Partner Configuration. (By default, all new buyers have access to this information in RepairLink.)

Hiding and Disabling Part Information for New Buyers

RepairLink's Default Trading Partner allows you to configure how all new shops see your dealership's information.

    2. Disable Parts Search for all New Shops as Trading Partners. If this option is selected:
      1. Your dealership will appear as an active dealer for all shops when they attempt to add a new dealer. Any time a new customer chooses your location, you will receive a New Customer Notification.
      2. The Begin Parts Search page will be greyed out for shops. The following message will display: "Please contact the Parts Department at the dealership you selected to complete the setup on your RepairLink Account."
      3. Until you configure a new shop's Trading Partner settings within RepairLink, the following options will be greyed out for the shop and the cart will be hidden from view:
        • OnCommand Part catalog
        • Part/description search
        • Cross-reference search
