Obsolete Part Alerts When Processing Orders in RepairLink

KB Article #8854

RepairLink flags obsolete or discontinued parts on incoming orders. When an order contains affected parts, a warning icon is displayed in the order line, and a confirmation window appears before you submit or commit. You can still proceed with fulfillment.

Notes:

  • This is an informational alert only. Order processing and fulfillment can still be completed.
  • The shop has already been notified of the obsolete status via an alert in RepairLink Shop.

Warning Icons in the Response to Buyer Section

Warning icons are visible in the Response to Buyer section of the order.

In the Part # column, hovering over the information icon displays a tooltip with the header Obsolete Part and the message: This part has been discontinued.

Obsolete Part Confirmation on Submit/Commit

When you click Submit/Commit on an order that contains one or more obsolete parts, a confirmation pop-up appears before the action is processed.

An Obsolete Part pop-up will display the following message: Some parts in this order are obsolete. Do you want to proceed?

Select an option to continue with your order:

  • Yes — Processes the order with the obsolete parts included.
