Adding and Viewing Notes for a CollisionLink Dealer Order

Whenever a new note or photo is received within an OEC solution, the following alert will display:

Shop notes can contain valuable information such as a request for a quote on a non-OEM part or a specific delivery date request. Reply back immediately to let the shop know you saw their request.


To view notes from a shop:

  1. From the CollisionLink tab, find your order and click Note in the Attachment column. (When a new note is received from a shop, the note indicator will display in green.)

    From the Order Details tab, click Notes.

  2. The Note tab of the Info Center will display along with any notes from the shop.

  3. When finished, click the X in the upper right-hand corner of the Info Center to return to the Overview or Order Details window.

To add notes to an order:

  1. From the CollisionLink tab, find your order and click Note in the Attachment column.

    From the Order Details tab, click Notes.

  2. The Note tab of the Info Center will display along with any notes from the shop.

  3. Type your note in the field provided. (A maximum of 250 characters can be entered.)

  4. Click Add Note. Your note will be added to the order and display on the Note tab.

  5. When finished, click the X in the upper right-hand corner of the Info Center to return to the Overview or Order Details window.
  6. Notes that you add will be available to your shop within their CollisionLink solution.
