PartsTech shops can place OE parts orders with RepairLink dealers they are integrated with.
What are the differences between PartsTech and RepairLink orders?
- Notes and photos are not available on PartsTech orders.
- Respond to Buyer functionality is disabled on PartsTech orders.
- OE parts sourced through PartsTech may not come from the OE catalog--be sure to validate part fitment before completing an order.
- Orders that have all part lines marked with an unfulfilled status (Discontinued, Not Available, etc.) will display as Order Failed in PartsTech, along with a reason for the failure.
- If only some are marked as such, it will display as order accepted.
Note: Your current trading partner relationship will automatically be added to PartsTech shops with a RepairLink Shop account. Any new PartsTech shops connecting with your dealership will need added as Trading Partners.
To respond to a PartsTech order:
- New PartsTech orders display on the Overview tab, indicated by PartsTech in the Orders Origin column. Double-click a transaction to view its details.
- To filter on order origin, select Show Orders From and choose PartsTech. If you've received orders, they will display in the transaction table.

- The parts a buyer wants to order display in the Buyer Request section. Verify the OE parts and part numbers against the automaker catalog to ensure they are the right parts for the vehicle specified above.
- If the part number needs corrected, type the correct number in the Revised Part # field, or select an alternative part if available.

- If the part qualifies for a manufacturer program (PMA), an icon displays. Click the icon for program information.
- If reimbursement is available, it will display in the Reimb $ column. The icon indicates the shop has already received the discount.

- The Net Buyer Cost column displays the discounted price the shop pays for the part, which may vary based on manufacturer program eligibility. Update this price if needed.
- Once you have verified part and pricing information, click the plus sign to add a single part to the order or use the down arrow to add all parts. Added parts drop to the Response to Buyer section. Once all parts are added, you are ready to confirm delivery, invoice and finalize your order.
- Buyers can select a preferred Delivery Option for each or all parts when placing an order. Review and update as necessary after confirming with your buyer.
Options include:- Standard: The default selection—send the part(s) using your standard shipping method.
- Will Call: The buyer will pick up at your dealership.
- Stock Order: The parts are needed for restock—send the part(s) as they become available.
- ASAP: The buyer is requesting their parts order be delivered as soon as possible.
- Once you've generated an invoice, type it into the provided field next to each part.

- If a part cannot be invoiced at this time, change its Status to notify your buyer.

- If needed, update the Taxes/Fees for the order.
- Note: For accuracy, a 3-decimal value can be entered. For example, a value of 6.975% can be used without the system rounding to 6.98%.
- When you are ready to finalize the transaction, click Submit/Commit. (You will not be able to make changes after you click Submit/Commit.)
- The order is routed back to PartsTech with a status of Accepted.
