RepairLink Payments: Negative Balance Notification Emails for Dealers

KB Article #8592

As a dealer using Payments on RepairLink, you receive payout reports for each transaction. However, you might not receive a payout report if your account balance becomes negative.

To keep you better informed, we’ve introduced an automated Negative Balance email notification. This email will alert you if your Stripe account has a negative balance after processing transactions. This will explain your account status, the reason for your negative balance, and why you aren’t receiving a payout report during this time.

Why Do Negative Balances Occur?

Negative balances happen because we do not directly withdraw funds from your bank account. Instead, your Stripe account shows a negative balance. This negative balance will be gradually cleared as future transactions occur, eventually restoring your account balance to zero. This email is for notification purposes only, so no additional action is needed.

What You Can Expect

If you continue to process transactions but your Stripe account balance remains negative, you will receive an email from no-reply@oeconnection.com with the subject line “Bank Deposits on Hold”.

Note: If you make transactions on Friday, you will receive the notification email on the following Monday (the next business day).
