Dealers who use OEC Payments can invite any shop that doesn't already have a payment method on file in RepairLink Shop when processing an order for that shop.
There are two ways to invite a shop:
Note: If multiple dealers send invitations to the same shop, their invitations will be combined into a single invitation.
Sending an In-App Invite
When processing an order, the Buyer information section displays a message that says "Invite shop to add a payment method." Click Invite to send the invite.
After you send a shop an invite, the status will update to You've invited the shop to add a payment.
How Shops Accept an Invite in RepairLink Shop
When a Shop you invited logs in to RepairLink Shop, the invite appears in two places:
- On the homepage.
- On the cart screen, when the shop places an order from the dealer who sent the invitation.
Shops will have multiple options to respond to the Invite:
- Add payment method: Opens the Payments page in RepairLink Shop, where they can add their payment method.
- Remind me later: Dismisses the invite in both the RepairLink Shop home page and the cart screen. The dealer will have to wait 90 days to invite the shop again.
- Learn more (Cart invitation only): Opens Payments Powered by OEC. The page explains Payments and how to sign up.
Sending an Email Invite
- Go to the Payments tab in the Dealer Portal.
- In the Invite Shop to OEC Payments section, enter the shop's email address in the provided field.
- Click Invite.
The shop will receive an email from no-reply_payments@oeconnection.com containing a link to Payments Powered by OEC. The page explains Payments and how to sign up.
