Using EPCLink Within MyPriceLink

Dealers enrolled in CollisionLink or RepairLink can use EPCLink within MyPriceLink. The advantages of this feature are:

  • One-click access to all part catalog data inside an MPL quote.
  • Simple part verification. There is no need to cut and paste or access other applications. 

Note: This feature is only available for Ford and GM at this time.

  • To use EPCLink within MyPriceLink (MPL):

    1. Click the MyPriceLink tab.

    2. Click the Search tab to search for an MPL quote.

    3. Type the Quote # in the provided field and click Search.

    4. Find the quote in the Results section and click the quote number to open it.

    5. Click the EPC icon to open EPCLink in a new window.

    6. The selected part will be listed on the right-hand side of the new window. (Click here for information on the details displayed.)

      1. The left-hand column will list all parts on the quote.
    7. If the part has been superseded, the supersession list will appear below the table.

    8. Click on other callouts in the illustration to check for additional parts and add them to the quote. (Click here to learn about callouts.)
    9. You can alter the illustration using the options in the top right. (Click here to learn about editing illustrations.)
    10. If the part appears in other sections, click the section thumbnail below the illustration to navigate the other sections.

    11. Use the left side panel to view and switch between the parts currently in the quote. Each item will show the part number, a brief description, and if the part appeared in the Upsell or OE Part section of the quote.

    12. To return to the quote, click the X in the upper right-hand corner of the window. 
  • To use EPCLink to locate parts within MyPriceLink (MPL):

    1. Click the MyPriceLink tab.

    2. In the Price Lookup tab, enter the VIN in the provided field.

    3. Enter the Part Number(s) in the provided field.

      1. Be sure to separate multiple part numbers with a comma or line return. 
    4. Click Get Price.
    5. The Pricing Information section will update with the part numbers searched, along with the List Price, Dealer Cost, Trade Price, and/or Wholesale Price. Click Process Order to create an MPL quote.

    6. Click the EPC icon to open EPCLink in a pop-up window.

    7. The selected part will be listed on the right-hand side of the new window. (Click here for information on the details displayed.)

    8. Clicking the number in the QoH column will display details on part inventory for nearby dealers and your PDC.

    9. If your quantity on hand is not enough for the repair, check your PDC Results or use the Other Dealers Inventory section to view nearby dealers and their inventory for that particular part.

      1. By default, dealers are sorted by distance with closest dealers appearing first. 
      2. If a nearby dealer has been marked as a Favorite Dealer, that dealer will appear first in the list with a star icon (6562_PartInventory1.jpg) next to it. (Learn more about Creating a D2DLink Favorites List.)
      3. In addition, each dealer's phone number is provided, along with the date their inventory was last updated. 
      4. This data can be used to purchase inventory from a nearby dealer. 
    10. To return to the quote, click the X in the upper right-hand corner of the pop-up windows.
