Using the D2DLink Locator through the Microcat EPC

Microcat EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog) users can take advantage of the OEC Locator to search for and order parts right from their EPC. Note: Customers needing additional information on using Microcat should call the Microcat Customer Service department at 888-929-5599.


To locate parts: 

  1. Use the Parts Search feature to identify the parts you need. (While the application will look different, this workflow applies to both the CD and the online (Live) versions of Microcat.)
  2. Select the part(s) you wish to locate. You can send up to 12 parts to D2DLink at one time.

  3. Right click on a selected part and then click D2DLink Part Number Inquiry.
  4. D2DLink will launch and will display your inventory, PDC results, and the Locator results for the selected part(s). 
  5. Use the Locate Results section to view the dealerships that are selling the parts you are looking for. Each part search result will include:
    • Distance: The dealership's distance from your location.
    • QOH: The part quantity the dealer has in stock.
    • Updated: The last date the locator received updated stocking information.
    • Discount: Any discount offered by the dealership for ordering the part.
    • Phone: The dealership's contact phone number. Note: Click on the dealership name to view additional information.

  6. Click the plus (3376_plussign_2675.jpg) sign to add a part to the E-Commerce Orders section.
  7. To order parts, click Create Order.
  8. From the Order Summary window, review your Shipping Information. Check the Please provide a Quote box if you would like the dealer to provide a final quote before the order is processed. (This box is checked by default.)

  9. Click Submit to place your order. The order will be added to your D2DLink Overview tab with a Status of New.
  10. Once the seller agrees to ship the parts, the Status of the order will change to Completed on your D2DLink Overview tab.
    -or-
    If the seller responds to your quote request, the Status of the order will change to Quote Ready on your D2DLink Overview tab.
