Creating DMS Quotes with RepairLink

KB Article #4509

With DMS Connect, dealers can create a quote in their Dealer Management System (DMS) directly from the RepairLink sales order. Simply click Create a DMS Quote to transfer part numbers and pricing from the Response to Buyer or Order Status section into your DMS.

To create a quote using DMS Connect:

  1. From the RepairLink Order Details, review the part availability (QOH) and pricing (Net Buyer Cost) information provided by your DMS in the Buyer Request section.
Note: Parts listed may display a QOH of N/A. This means the part has not been added to your DMS inventory and cannot be validated.

    • Before proceeding with the DMS quote creation process, access your DMS to add parts that cannot be validated to your inventory. (Click here for more information.)
    • If you choose to proceed, parts that cannot be validated against your DMS inventory will not be included in the quote.
  2. Process your RepairLink order as normal to add parts from the Buyer Request section to the Response to Buyer section. When ready, click Create a DMS Quote at the bottom of the RepairLink order details window.

  3. The Create a DMS window will open. If they are blank, type in the required DMS Cust # and Counter Person ID to exactly match your DMS. Be sure to include any spaces and dashes. Note: For Rush Truck Center dealers, the DMS Cust # is the shop's Ship To code.

    • These are parts that are not valid in your DMS because they have not been added to your DMS inventory. Parts marked with an asterisk will not be included in the DMS quote
    • To include a part in the DMS quote, click Cancel to exit the DMS quote creation process and then access your DMS to add it to your inventory. (Click here for more information.)
  5. If you do not want to include a part in the DMS quote, click to uncheck the box beside the part.
