The OEC EPC catalog can be searched using the search bar or breadcrumb feature within EPCLink. This is particularly useful if you wish to add or swap a part from the catalog that was not included with the original CollisionLink or RepairLink order.
Note: The search and catalog navigation features are currently only available for FCA at this time.
Using the Search Bar
To search for a part in the OEC EPC within EPCLink:
- Open EPCLink by clicking the icon from any part line in your CollisionLink or RepairLink order.
- Type a keyword or part number in the search bar at the top of the pop-up window.
- Click Search.
- Search results will appear based on the keyword or part number provided.
- From here, you can:
- Use the Section name and part details to locate the correct part and then click the Section name to open the Section View and validate the part. (Learn more about the Parts List Table and Working with Illustrations.)
- Click the Add icon () to add the part to the order.
- Click the Copy icon () to copy the part number to the computer clipboard.
- View supersession details. (If present, click the SS icon () from below the part description and part number to pull up supersession details.)
- View OEM-provided digital photos of the part. (If present, click the camera icon () from below the part description and part number to pull up photos. Learn more about Digital Photos.)
Using the Breadcrumb Navigation
Notes:
- If you have an OEC EPC subscription, any notes added to the catalog in your EPC will also appear in this view within EPCLink.
- To search the catalog at any time, type a keyword or part number in the search bar across the top and click Search.
- To return to a previous view (e.g. to choose a new group or section within a group), click the desired place from the breadcrumbs across the top.
To navigate the OEC EPC catalog within EPCLink:
- Open EPCLink by clicking the icon from any part line in your CollisionLink or RepairLink order.
- Click the vehicle name to pull up the appropriate catalog.
- The catalog will appear in list view. This first column shows a list of Major Groups and their index number. Click the desired Major Group from the list to begin (e.g. to find a battery, begin with 008 - Electrical).
- A list of Minor Groups will appear in a new column to the right. Click the appropriate Minor Group to continue your search.
- The far right column will show the names of the applicable sections. Hover over the options to view the corresponding section thumbnail.
- Click the appropriate section thumbnail to navigate to the Section view. (Learn more about the Parts List Table and Working with Illustrations.)
