Use the coupons feature of ConsumerLink to provide incentives to customers to buy parts through your dealership. Once created, you can edit a ConsumerLink coupon at anytime.
Buyers will enter the Coupon/Wholesale Code during the checkout process on your website to receive the discount.
To create a coupon:
- From the ConsumerLink tab, click ConsumerLink Setup.
- ConsumerLink Settings will display. Click Settings and then click Coupons from the drop-down window.
- From the Coupons window, fill in the criteria for your coupon:
- Name: Type an easily identifiable name for the coupon in the provided box.
- Coupon/Wholesale Code: This will be entered by your customer to receive the discount.
- Start Date (YYYY-MM-DD): The start date for your promotion. (This must be typed in the YYYY-MM-DD format.)
- End Date (YYYY-MM-DD): The final date for your promotion. (This must be typed in the YYYY-MM-DD format.)
- Discount Amount: Select the type of discount ($ or % ) from the drop-down and then type the amount in the box provided.
- Applied To: Select which aspect of the order that the discount will be applied to (Parts, Shipping, Everything) from the drop-down.
- Minimum Parts Total: Type the minimum parts dollar amount that would qualify for the discount.
- Maximum Parts Total: Type the maximum parts dollar amount that would qualify for the discount.
- Allow Reuse: Check this box to allow a buyer to use the coupon on more than one order.
- Allow International: Check this box to allow international buyers to use the coupon.
- Allow Other Codes: Check this box to allow a buyer to use more than one coupon per order.
- Only Vehicle Accessories: Check this box to use the coupon only for vehicle accessories on the order. (This may be combined with Apparel Accessories.)
- Only Apparel Accessories: Check this box to use the coupon only for apparel accessories on the order. (This may be combined with Vehicle Accessories.)
- Click Add New.
- The coupon will be added and will display in the Coupons and Wholesale Codes section of the window.
- Click the ConsumerLink tab to return to the Order History window.
- From the ConsumerLink tab, click ConsumerLink Setup.
- ConsumerLink Settings will display. Click Settings and then click Coupons from the drop-down window.
- Scroll down to the Coupons and Wholesale Codes section of the window.
- Click Edit next to the coupon that you wish to update.
- Make the needed updates to the coupon and then click Update to save your changes.
- Click the ConsumerLink tab to return to the Order History window.
