Creating DMS Quotes with MarketplaceDirect

With DMS Connect, dealers can create a quote in their Dealer Management System (DMS) directly from the MarketplaceDirect sales order. Simply click Create a DMS Quote to transfer part numbers and pricing into your DMS.

To create a quote using DMS Connect:  

1. From the MarketplaceDirect Order Details, review the requested parts. If you decide you want fulfill the order, click Create a DMS Quote.
     
2. The Create a DMS window will open. If needed, type in the required DMS Cust # and  Counter Person ID to exactly match your customer record in your DMS, including any spaces and dashes.
     
3. Review the list of OE parts displayed:
     
   • If you do not want to include a part in the DMS quote, click to uncheck the box beside the part.  
   • If you do not want to include the MarketplaceDirect Net Buyer Cost, click to uncheck the Create quote with Sell Price included box.  
4. Click Send to DMS to complete the process.  
5. If successful, a confirmation window will display the DMS Quote Number for reference. Click Back to transaction to return to the MarketplaceDirect order details.
     
6. The MarketplaceDirect order details window will also display the DMS Quote # and creation date.
   
   Note: MarketplaceDirect allows you to create multiple DMS quotes for an order as long as the transaction has not completed/submitted. The order details window will always display the DMS Quote # and creation date of the last quote created in your DMS.
