Setting/Changing your MarketplaceDirect Pricing Formula

The pricing formula that you apply to your eBay parts list can be updated at anytime.


To change your pricing formula:

  1. From the MarketplaceDirect tab, click MarketplaceDirect Setup.
  2. Click the I want to drop-down and then select Edit Parts List.

  3. Select the OEM from the second drop-down.
  4. Click OK.
  5. From the List drop-down, select the list you want to edit.

  6. In the Pricing Formula section, change the type (Cost or List), operation (Minus or Plus), or the rate. Note: If either of the drop-downs are left as the default (--) an error message will display.

  7. In the Shipping Details section, change the way shipping costs are charged to your buyers.

    The following options are available from the Shipping Cost drop-down: 
    • Free: No shipping costs will be charged to your buyer.
    • Flat Rate: Type the specific dollar amount that will be charged to every order in the provided field.
    • Percentage: Type a specific percentage of the selling price for the part in the provided field. Use the Minimum Shipping Cost field to ensure you don't lose money on the transaction. Note: The Percentage option should not be used for BMW, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes Benz, Mitsubishi, Porsche, Subaru, and Volvo parts.  
  8. Click Save. Formula changes will be applied to any parts currently listed on eBay Motors following the next "sync" between OEC and eBay. This is typically the night after the formula change is made, but may take up to 24 hours for the updates to appear on eBay.
