Setting the Default Pricing Formula in MyPriceLink

KB Article #4012

MyPriceLink allows users to automatically calculate sell prices on parts with a pricing formula and establish a default pricing formula that will be applied to any part on a MyPriceLink quote. Once set up, the default pricing formula can be changed at any time.

To set your default pricing formula:

  1. Open a MyPriceLink quote. The create a default formula box will display. If you do not want to create a default formula at this time, click Close.
  2. Select the price that will be used to establish the formula from the Field drop-down:
    • None: A formula will not be applied to parts. A pricing formula can still be applied to individual parts or quotes.
    • Cost: The formula will be applied based on the dealer cost for the part.
    • List: The formula will be applied based on the real-time list price (generated by MyPriceLink) for the part.
    • Trade: The formula will be applied based on the part's trade price.
  3. Select the Operation for the formula from the drop-down:
    • Plus: To increase the sell price by a specific percentage rate.
    • Minus: To decrease the sell price by a specific percentage rate.
  4. Type the percentage you would like applied into the Rate % box provided.

Note: If you move a part line from the Order Status section back to the Upsell Parts or OE Parts sections and the Sell Price is not displaying correctly, click the Update button at the top of the Quote Details window to recalculate the sell prices.

To change the default pricing formula:

  1. Open a MyPriceLink quote. The Pricing Formula calculator will display in the Quote Details menu bar.
