Responding to a D2DLink Sales Quote

Dealers who sell parts to other dealers will receive "eCommerce" sales orders directly into D2DLink. Buyers have the option to ask for quotes before committing to a purchase. Once a quote is received, commit to the order to respond to the buyer. Invoice Number, Available Date, Buyer Cost, and Shipping Information must be completed prior to responding to a quote. Note: Once the quote is committed to, it cannot be changed. Click Save at anytime to save your changes without committing to the quote.


To respond to a sales quote:

  1. From the D2DLink tab, click Overview. If Sales does not display in the Show Me box, select it from the drop-down.

    From the My Orders section of the D2DLink Console, click Sales.

  2. The eCommerce Orders appear on the D2DLink Overview window with a Status of New.

  3. Double-click on an order to view the details.
  4. Parts that the buyer wants a quote on will display in the Buyer Request section of the Order Details. If the Buyer Request section does not display on the Order Details window, the dealer does not want a quote. (Click here for more information on processing a sales order.)

  5. If you need to reply to the buyer, click the Notes icon, type your note in the provided field and then click Add Note. Click the X in the upper right-hand corner of the Info Center window to close.

  6. If needed, use the Revised Part # field to add the correct part to the quote.

  7. Click the plus plussign__1_.jpg sign to add the part to Response to Buyer section or use the down arrow.jpg arrow to add all parts. Parts may be removed by clicking on the minus minussign.jpg sign.
  8. If needed, type the updated quantity in the Qty Ful box.

  9. If you are unable to fill the part order, select the reason (Backordered, Discontinued, Not Available, Part Not Stocked) from the Status drop-down.

  10. The Net Buyer Cost will automatically be entered. If needed, type an updated cost in the provided box.
  11. To assign the same invoice number to all invoiced parts, click Invoice # at the top of the column and type the invoice number into the box and click OK.

    To assign the invoice number to a single part, click the invoice number box for that line item and type the number for that part.
  12. To assign the same delivery date to all invoiced parts, click Avail Date and select the date from the calendar.
    -or-
    To assign a delivery date to a single part, click on the date box for that line item and select the date from the calendar.

  13. Click Add Shipping. If the shipping information has not been added by the buyer:

    • Select the shipping Method from the drop-down list.
    • If applicable, type the Tracking # in the field provided.
    • Type the shipping Cost if applicable.
    • Select the Shipping Terms from the drop-down.
    • Click OK to close the Shipping Information window.
  14. If desired, click Print to print a copy of the entire order or selected items. (Click here from more information on printing orders.)
  15. Click Commit to complete the quote. Important: Payment for your D2DLink transaction should be made based on the information shown.

  16. Once the quote has been committed to, the Status will change to Completed on your D2DLink Overview window and the Status will change to Quote Ready on the buyer's D2DLink Overview.
  17. If the buyer accepts the quote, a new order will be appear on your D2DLink Overview window with a Status of New. (Click here for more information on processing a sales order.)

To view the Info Center...

Use the Info Center to view details of your Sales transactions.

  1. Click the D2DLink Overview tab.
  2. If Sales does not display in the Show Me box, select it from the drop-down.

  3. From D2DLink Overview, double-click a transaction to view its details.
  4. Click on Info Center to view additional information about the transaction: 
    • Order Info: Shows summary information about the transaction.

    • Notes: Gives you the ability to view transaction notes. To add a note:
      1. Type your note in the text box.
      2. Click Add Note.

  5. Click the X in the upper right-hand corner of the window to close the Info Center.
