Adding an Exclusion Criteria to a Discount List in the D2DLink Parts List Manager

KB Article #3269

Parts List Manager allows you to exclude specific parts from an existing discount that you have applied to your inventory. This ensures that these parts are always available for sale on the Locator, but guarantees these parts only sell for their original cost.

Here are a few tips when using exclusion criteria:

  • Using exclude criteria will discount all parts in your inventory that are not part of the specified criteria. For example, creating a 30% discount list with an "Exclude parts in DMS Source 100" rule will discount all your parts at 30% off cost except for those in DMS Source 100.
  • Always use exclusion criteria in combination with other criteria. For example, you have created a list to discount all parts that were last sold more than one year ago, but you do not want to discount any parts in DMS Source 42--regardless of the last sale date.
  • Adding excluded parts to a discount list will only exclude the parts from that specific list. (Parts may still be included in other discount lists that you create.) If you want to create a list of parts that are always excluded from any existing or future discount list, create a discount excluded parts list instead. (Click here for more information on creating a discount exclusion part list.)

To add exclusion criteria to a discount list:

  1. From D2DLink, click Parts List Manager. The Parts List Manager window displays.
  2. Use the My Parts List For drop-down to select the OEM. Your part lists display.

  6. You will return to the parts list overview and the updated list will display at the top of the Parts List Manager grid. The parts that you've added will now be excluded from the discount.
