Getting Started with Payments Powered by OEC

OEC has partnered with Stripe to provide Payments Powered by OEC, a payment processing service for buyers and sellers. Stripe is an industry-leading payments provider that helps thousands of businesses facilitate payments in an eCommerce setting. 

Dealers can use an integration with Stripe to collect payment from repair shops during the order process. The payments are then distributed in bulk (consolidated) to individual dealers for the orders they fulfil. Payments are made according to the amount of the order.

IMPORTANT: Payments Powered by OEC workflow is currently only available to: 

  • Dealers using RepairLink
  • GM dealers using D2DLink

  • There are two payment solutions within Payments Powered by OEC: 

    • Payment is received from the buyer within Virtual Terminal.
    • Payment is transferred to the seller's bank account through Consolidated Billing. 


    Virtual Terminal

    The Virtual Terminal is the default page of Payments Powered by OEC. This is the section that allows you to charge your Trading Partners who have payment methods set up with Payments Powered by OEC.

    The maximum amount per transaction in OEC Payments is $20,000.

    If any orders need to be returned at this stage, follow the Return Process directly in the Virtual Terminal.


    Consolidated Billing

    Completed orders (with a status of Invoiced) are then paid out in bulk to your dealership's bank account on a weekly basis through Consolidated Billing. 

    If any paid orders need to be returned, they should be processed via RepairLink or D2DLink. 

  • Enrollment Fees

    There are no enrollment fees and no monthly subscription fees to use Payments Powered by OEC. 

    OEC does charge transaction fees:

    Enrollment Steps

    To use Payments Powered by OEC, dealers will need to: 

    1. Complete a setup process to enroll for Payments Powered by OEC and create a Stripe account that links to their OEC account.
    2. Add a bank account to their Stripe account to receive payouts for orders placed. 
      1. Note: This step is required in order to receive payouts. OEC will not be able to pay out funds for orders placed with their dealership. 
    3. Have an Authorized Representative review and accept the terms for the Stripe Services Addendum and the Dealer Consolidated Billing Pricing Exxhibit.
      • Stripe Services Addendum: An addendum to the OEConnection Subscriber Agreement
      • Dealer Consolidated Billing Pricing Exhibit: Discloses the fee for the Payments Powered by OEC service
