Validating Parts with EPCLink

Validating your collision and repair parts has never been easier! With EPCLink, you can eliminate the time-consuming process of copying and pasting parts one by one into your EPC and focus on reviewing and fulfilling orders--all in a single application. 

You can easily access EPCLink from within your CollisionLink and RepairLink orders. 


Validating CollisionLink Parts

To access EPCLink from CollisionLink:

  1. Open the order in CollisionLink. 
  2. From the Upsell Parts or OE Parts sections, click the EPC icon in any row.

  3. EPCLink will open a new window. 
    1. If the part is in the EPCLink catalog with that part number fitting the vehicle, the Section View will open, allowing you to:
      1. Review the section illustration to confirm the part. The callout for the part will be highlighted.

      2. Identify if the part has been superseded and allow you to select the updated part from the supersession chain. All supersession parts will be detailed below the section matrix.

      3. Determine if you have the part(s) in stock. If not, use the QoH feature to locate the part at your PDC or other area dealers.

    2. If multiple parts display, no direct match was found. The results displayed are based on a keyword search of the catalog description. Click on the appropriate Section name to open the Section view.

Note: EPCLink uses CollisionLink's VIN validation to identify parts. As a result, EPCLink will display different information based on the icon displayed in CollisionLink's Valid column. 

Icon If This Icon Appears... If the EPC Icon is Clicked From This Part...
6357_green.jpg The part number is valid for the year, make, model series, and/or option codes of the vehicle.

The section illustration for the part number will display. (Click here for more information.)

The part number will be highlighted in green in the Parts List Table, labeled Match.

6357_yellow.jpg The part number is valid for year, make, and model; however, it cannot validate the model series and/or option codes of the vehicle. 

The section illustration for the part number will display. (Click here for more information.)

The part number will be highlighted in amber in the Parts List Table, labeled Possible Match.

The part number has not been found. 

In this case, the catalog cannot confirm the part is valid for the year, make, model, and/or option codes of the vehicle.

EPCLink will display a list of related illustrations based on the Part Catalog Information. Review the available options and click the appropriate illustration to view part information. (Click here for details.)

A red banner will appear across the top of the window, indicating the part number is invalid for the VIN.

Neither the part nor the part number have been found.

EPCLink will display a list of related illustrations based on the Estimating Description. Review the available options and click the appropriate illustration to view part information. (Click here for details.)

A blue banner will appear across the top of the window, indicating the part was not found in the catalog.

Validating RepairLink Parts

To access EPCLink from RepairLink:

  1. Open the order in RepairLink. 
  2. Click the EPC icon in any row of the Buyer Request section.

  3. EPCLink will open in a new window. 
    1. If the part is in the EPCLink catalog with that part number fitting the vehicle, the Section View will open, allowing you to:
      1. Review the section illustration to confirm the part. The callout for the part will be highlighted.
